Annette Truecrest was the second adoptable I’ve created.
With this more cartoony art style I’ve developed, I have played around more with slimmer frames and heights than I have with chubbier characters (the chubbiest I’ve gone thus far is with Nolani Swing, whom I’ve created for my art portfolio you can view here). With that in mind, I used that as my basis for creating Annette Truecrest.
I wanted her to have a more regal air around her, and so I went over to Pinterest and looked for Victorian, Baroque, and even Rococo style outfits (as well as modern takes of those styles), which then paved the way to incorporating gothic style stained glass window frames in her outfit.
In all honesty, creating her started off slow as I didn’t know how else to proceed. However, once I’ve finalized her design and started making her digitally, I fell in love with both the process and completion!
Here’s to hoping you find her just as regal as I do.
